Jay grew up in Woodstock, a small town in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He came to saving faith in Christ his freshmen year at Virginia Tech. After working at Whirlpool Financial and then at Sprint for several years, Jay graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2006. He and his family then moved to Winston-Salem, NC to attend Twin City Bible Church, where he served as an elder. From 2010-2016, Jay was a bi-vocational pastor in Lincolnton, NC at Lincoln Community Bible Church. Jay and his wife, Suzan, have been married since 1993 and have four boys, Russ, Nate, Cal, and Will. They relocated back to Winston Salem in 2016.
